Policy Researcher
Vancouver, BC
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a Policy Researcher to support our dynamic team. The Policy Researcher will analyze education policies, school board data, and legislative frameworks to support Safe School Hub’s advocacy efforts.
What you’ll do
- Conduct policy analysis on provincial & national education laws
- Track school district responses to racism reports through Safe School Hub
- Support the development of recommendations for government adoption
- Collaborate on annual equity reports & school district ranking assessments

Social Worker
Vancouver, BC
Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a Social Worker to support our dynamic team. The Social Worker will provide direct support to families and students facing discrimination, ensuring access to mental health services, advocacy resources, and intervention support.
What you’ll do
- Offer one-on-one consultations for families using Safe School Hub
- Develop a referral network for counseling, trauma support, and advocacy groups
- Provide mental health resources and workshops for students affected by racism
- Coordinate with school administrators to ensure fair case resolutions

Legal Advisor

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a Legal Advisor to support our dynamic team. The Legal Advisor will provide guidance on education law, discrimination cases, and policy compliance. This role will ensure legal protections for students and families impacted by racism.
What you’ll do
- Provide legal advice on school discrimination cases submitted through Safe School Hub
- Develop legal webinars, guides & templates for parents and students on the Safe School Hub
- Support policy advocacy efforts to mandate Safe School Hub use in school boards
- Ensure data privacy & compliance with national and provincial laws

Partnerships Lead

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a Partnerships Lead to join our dynamic team. The Partnership Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships with school districts, community organizations, and corporate sponsors. This role will focus on increasing Safe School Hub’s adoption and funding sustainability.

- Identify and engage school boards, districts, education ministries, and advocacy groups to integrate Safe School Hub
- Develop corporate sponsorship and funding partnerships to support expansion
- Create collaborative initiatives with schools and education-focused non profits

Finance Manager

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is seeking a highly organized, values-driven Finance Manager to support the growth and sustainability of our organization and its partner projects. This person will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across our portfolio of nonprofit and social enterprise initiatives.
What you’ll do
Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for BCCA and affiliated partners including Mutima Canada, Africopia, Tropicraze, and Okoko Cosmétiques
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and transparency
- Ensure financial reporting aligns with Canadian accounting standards
Grant and Fund Management
- Track grant expenditures, reporting, and compliance with funder requirements
- Support the development of financial reports for donors, partners, and grantors
- Work closely with the HR/Admin and Development teams to align financials with fundraising
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, provincial, and federal financial regulations
- Monitor financial risks and provide mitigation strategies and solutions
Summer Operations Assistant
On-Site 80% of the time
Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a Summer Operations Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, youth programming, and advisory support during a vibrant and active summer season. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community engagement, enjoys working on multiple projects, and wants to grow their leadership and organizational skills.
What you’ll do
- Assist with the coordination and execution of key BCCA events and activations, including Safe School Hub sponsored events with Sunthesis Summer Market, Black Youth Club, Student and Family Conference, and SSLP Accelerator outreach
- Help with the onboarding and support of BCCA Advisory clients, including vendors and nonprofit brands in our ecosystem
- Support communications with event vendors, partners, and speakers
- Coordinate project logistics such as RSVPs, materials, schedules, and contracts
- Assist with social media scheduling and administrative coordination as needed
- Support BCCA’s youth-focused programming by attending events, taking notes, setting up rooms, and organizing resources
