Human Rights Lawyer

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a human rights lawyer to support our dynamic team. The human rights lawyer will provide guidance on education law, discrimination cases, and policy compliance. This role will ensure legal protections for students and families impacted by racism.
What you’ll do
- Provide legal advice related to racism, discrimination, and human rights concerns affecting students and families within education settings.
- Develop and review plain-language legal resources for students, parents, caregivers, and community members.
- Create legal guides, templates, checklists, and other practical tools for the Safe Schools Legal Access Hub.
- Help establish the legal-service model for the Safe Schools Legal Access Hub.
- Advise on confidentiality, privilege, informed consent, and appropriate handling of client information.
Manager of Operations, Programs & Services (Contractor)

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a practical, confident operational leader who can turn approved priorities into coordinated delivery. The Manager, Operations, Programs & Services will lead day-to-day coordination across the assigned portfolio: bringing together people, schedules, spaces, systems and resources so programs and services work reliably for participants, partners and staff.
This is a hands-on, front-facing role not solely an administrative or project-tracking position. The successful candidate will anticipate problems, organize delivery, support colleagues, resolve routine issues and follow through without relying on the Executive Director to coordinate every step.
What you’ll Do
- Translate organizational priorities into actionable workplans, timelines, and accountabilities.
- Maintain integrated delivery calendars, 90-day plans, weekly status updates, and current operating documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional work, resolve operational bottlenecks, and escalate risks with recommended solutions.
- Coordinate program logistics, registration, communications, staffing, accessibility, and follow-up.
- Monitor participant experience, resolve service issues, and coordinate program, mentorship, youth, and partner activities.
Manager of Marketing & Product Growth (Contractor)
Vancouver, BC
Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a hands-on marketing and product professional who can help people discover, understand and use BCCA’s services, and improve those services through evidence and user feedback. The Manager, Marketing & Product Growth will bring together marketing execution, audience research, product planning and adoption measurement. The role will translate the Executive Director’s strategic direction into focused campaigns and prioritized product improvements.
What you’ll Do
- Develop and implement targeted marketing plans, campaign calendars, and audience-specific messaging aligned with organizational priorities and capacity
- Coordinate website content, email campaigns, social media, promotional materials, partner outreach, and creative contributors
- Improve participant journeys from awareness and inquiry through registration, attendance, and ongoing engagement
- Translate organizational priorities, user research, and operational needs into a proposed product roadmap and prioritized development backlog
- Recommend priorities based on participant value, funded outcomes, accessibility, risk, technical effort, and available resources
