Human Rights Lawyer

Who we’re looking for
BC Community Alliance (BCCA) is looking for a human rights lawyer to support our dynamic team. The human rights lawyer will provide guidance on education law, discrimination cases, and policy compliance. This role will ensure legal protections for students and families impacted by racism.
What you’ll do
- Provide legal advice related to racism, discrimination, and human rights concerns affecting students and families within education settings.
- Develop and review plain-language legal resources for students, parents, caregivers, and community members.
- Create legal guides, templates, checklists, and other practical tools for the Safe Schools Legal Access Hub.
- Help establish the legal-service model for the Safe Schools Legal Access Hub.
- Advise on confidentiality, privilege, informed consent, and appropriate handling of client information.
